CKAWorkloads & SchedulingTwo nodesEasy

DaemonSet on every node

Scenario cka-wkl-004 · about 6 minutes · 5 points · 7 grader checks

Run one Pod per node, including the control plane, with a DaemonSet.

  • daemonset
  • toleration
  • control-plane
  • workloads

What you will practise

  • Author a DaemonSet manifest
  • Schedule onto tainted control-plane nodes
  • Verify desired vs ready DaemonSet pods

Start this lab

With the CLI installed and signed in, this command provisions a two nodes cluster on your Mac, applies the scenario setup and prints the task below.

goldenkube start cka-wkl-004

Task

The task text exactly as the CLI shows it. Solve it on the cluster, then run goldenkube submit.

In namespace "apps" (create it if missing), create a DaemonSet named "node-agent" using image busybox:1.36 with the command "sleep infinity". It must run one Pod on EVERY node of the cluster, including the control plane node. All its Pods must be Ready.
