Headless Service

Scenario cka-net-006 · about 6 minutes · 5 points · 5 grader checks

  • networking

What you will practise

  • Create a headless Service
  • Set the selector to match existing pods
  • Verify endpoints of a headless Service

Start this lab

With the CLI installed and signed in, this command provisions a two nodes cluster on your Mac, applies the scenario setup and prints the task below.

goldenkube start cka-net-006

Task

The task text exactly as the CLI shows it. Solve it on the cluster, then run goldenkube submit.

In namespace "net" a Deployment "cache" (label app=cache, 2 replicas) is running. Create a headless Service named "cache-hs" in namespace "net" (clusterIP: None) that selects app=cache and exposes port 6379. It must have endpoints.
